You will be a part of an experienced team to construct and maintain electrical equipment to customer requirements in a substation environment.
This role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be based at our Rotorua Depot.
ResponsibilitiesCarry out prescribed electrical work according to regulationsPerform callouts and maintenance duties as a lone worker, with travel between 28 regional substationsInspecting, fault finding and defect elimination on HV and LV electrical equipmentAccurate record-keeping and reporting of the works undertakenIdentify potential issues and provide effective solutions to recover from setbacksConduct job scoping and planning with accuracyAssist with repair and maintenance activities and identify potential problems and solutions to recover from any setbacks

Our Ideal candidateYou will be an experienced candidate who is an Electrical Fitter, or an Electrician who has strong experience in the industrial or commercial sectors and looking to become an Electrical Fitter.

To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills : Experience in 11KV to 220KV Substation Construction or Maintenance is desirablePreferably working at height competencies and experience heavy industry & construction type skill setAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics & diagramsExperience with isolating and switching HV & LV network systemsBe a registered electrician with a current practicing licenceAble to cope with the physical demands of the job and has a strong commitment to health and safetyNew Zealand driver's licence
