At Ngāi Tahu Tourism, our purpose is tuia – make the connection with our customers, through our people, to our place and to Ngāi Tahu. We’re looking for an energetic, customer-focused Events and Sales Executive to help us deliver unforgettable experiences in Rotorua.

What you’ll do

This hands‑on role is all about creating exceptional events and experiences. You’ll :

  • Plan and coordinate private and public events across our unique farm‑style venues.
  • Host and manage events, ensuring smooth operations and outstanding customer service.
  • Drive sales opportunities, upselling activities and packages to maximise revenue.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations teams for seamless delivery.
  • Represent Agrodome at trade shows and maintain strong industry relationships.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in event coordination and hosting.
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • A minimum of 12 months in a fast‑paced tourism environment.
  • Proficiency in IT systems (Word, Excel, databases).
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a passion for customer service.
  • Cultural confidence and willingness to learn Ngāi Tahu values and te reo Māori.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings when required.
  • Bonus

    Duty Manager’s Certificate is desirable.
