Overview

Commercial Finance Manager role at Goodman Fielder New Zealand – internal promotion. Join our finance team to drive commercial performance across Dairy and Route Food Service segments.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Sales and Marketing to deliver strategic and financial objectives across key categories and channels.
Provide deep commercial analysis and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
Manage pricing, promotional investment, and category profitability to optimise overall returns.
Lead financial reviews, support business cases, tenders, and NPD initiatives with robust analysis.
Drive the finance process for integrated business planning (Strategic Plan, Category Plan, Budget, S&OP).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sound financial controls, accurate forecasting, and informed decision-making.

About You

Commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting (CA / CPA / MBA preferred).

5+ years’ experience in commercial finance or analytical business partnering, ideally within FMCG or a complex retail / manufacturing environment.

Experience working with Dairy and Route Food Service highly desirable.

Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.

Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Experience with SAP, BI tools, or data analytics platforms is advantageous.
