FITTER MACHINIST

Full time permanent Fitter Machinist required for our busy company.

The minimum work hour will be 40 per week. H ours of work are to be flexible to meet the operational needs of the Employer. Candidates should pass a background check and must be physically fit. New Zealand citizen or resident is preferable.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate manual equipment including lathes, milling machines, and a machining centre.
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Assemble mechanical systems and perform functional testing.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Operating both manual and CNC machines, read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings accurately.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
• A supportive, down-to-earth team culture.

Skills required :

At least 2 years’ experience related to the role.
