You will be an experienced store-person / forklift operator and be able to work autonomously.
A good level of literacy and numeracy is important so bales can be easily identified, and shipping orders are prepared accurately.
Upholding excellent health and safety standards is important and you should be eager to participate and learn all aspects of the wool store and wool collection.We are wanting someone who can carry out all warehouse tasks such as the loading / unloading of trucks into our wool store, preparing and branding bales for delivery, loading, machine processing and ensuring all bales are identifiable and safely stacked in rows.
There may be times when we need assistance driving our truck so if you have a truck licence, that is an advantage.
You need to be physically fit and be able to follow instructions but use your initiative when it is needed.We are looking for the following attributes :
An F endorsement forklift licence is essential
A truck licence is an advantage
Level 1 or 2 NCEA (or equivalent) – good at maths and English
1+ years' experience operating a forklift and working as a store-person
A person who respects safety, is eager to learn about the wool industry and is a team player willing to help out other staff when needed.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physically fit as product handling is occasionally required.
Great attitude towards Health and Safety.
