Job description

Mitre 10 Mega Kapiti is seeking a full‑time Garden Care Team Member to join the largest home improvement store on the Kapiti Coast. The role is 80 hours over 10 days per fortnight, including weekend days.

Responsibilities

  • Guide customers on planting and gardening product needs.
  • Recommend items for “green space” requirements.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and use of a forklift where required.
  • Maintain a professional, positive behaviour at all times.

Qualifications

  • Customer driven and energetic.
  • Practical knowledge of plants and associated gardening products.
  • Horticultural background preferable but not essential.
  • Energetic and physically capable of undertaking heavy lifting.
  • Full driver’s licence.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage.
  • Available to work weekend days.
