Senior Automation Tester

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our client's dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the quality of their front-end applications through thoughtful test design, automation, and collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Test Design : Take initiative in thinking critically and laterally about test strategies to mitigate project risks and uncover vulnerabilities beyond business requirements.

Automation & Collaboration : Work closely with BAs and developers to create automated checks using existing tools and frameworks.

Agile Team Engagement : Collaborate with your agile team to build a shared understanding of business requirements and underlying systems.

Defect Communication : Clearly communicate defects and issues to both the business and your agile team.

User Experience Focus : Contribute to a shared goal of delivering exceptional user experiences.

Agile Ceremonies : Actively participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions, and demos.

Support your team with non-testing tasks to help meet delivery goals.

Continuous Improvement : Apply modern testing principles and stay up to date with new technologies and agile practices.

Share insights and innovations with your team and the wider Digital & Applications group.

Stakeholder Engagement : Maintain timely and effective communication with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience :

5+ years of hands-on experience in modern QA and test automation within Agile environments.

Proven ability to provide QA expertise and promote best practices across teams.

Experience with version control systems.

Proficiency in web application testing tools such as React Testing Library, Jest, and Playwright.

Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and agile delivery methodologies.

Familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern cloud environments.

A mindset focused on growth and continuous improvement.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills :

Experience with API test automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman).

Exposure to production monitoring, incident triage, and investigation.

Background in banking or financial services.
