About the Role

We are seeking a part time, super organised, HR Administrator to join our HR team in Albany in the new year.

This is a part time opportunity working 20 hours per week, responsible for admin tasks relating to our people.

This role is for a fixed term of 12 months with the potential to become permanent.

Reporting to the NZ HR Business Partner, and working alongside our Senior HR Generalist, this role is a great opportunity to gain (or build on) HR experience as you start your career or perhaps you have administration experience and are wanting to take on a part time role to better balance life.

This is a busy role where you will work at pace, often with deadlines and changing priorities, so to be a star you will be highly organised with your time management and also be solution orientated.

Responsibilities

You will bring attention to detail and take pride in being accurate in your work, delivering excellence to your stakeholders and business partners to strengthen and maintain the HR team's credibility for being a high performing team within the organisation.

Your Key Responsibilities include :

Lead the onboarding journey, making new hires feel welcomed, informed, and inspired

Coordinate smooth offboarding processes

Support recruitment activities

HR Advisory & Compliance

Provide advice on HR programs, policies, and benefits

Manage employee documentation (contracts, changes, targets) with accuracy and legal compliance

Maintain up-to-date personnel files and support engagement initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

Ensure employee records, contracts, and entitlements are accurate and complete

Prepare monthly payroll documentation and liaise with Payroll Manager

Own our reward and recognition programs, including service awards and referral bonuses

HR Systems & Data Integrity

Keep our HRIS updated with all employee changes

Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies

Contribute to system improvements and process enhancements

Reporting & Admin

Deliver timely and accurate HR reports across regions

Support HR programs, events, and special projects with top-notch coordination

Qualifications / Requirements

2+ years' experience in administrative support, ideally within HR

Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management

Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and discretion with sensitive information

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); HRIS experience a plus

Familiarity with HR reporting and analytics

A customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence
