Te Ara Matihiko, Digital Services and Solutions sits within Te Pūnaha Matihiko, the Digital Services branch, which leads the Department's technology strategy and provide insights and advice to help maximise business outcomes from technology investment. The “Way We Work” is collective, productive, and future-focused.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to provide effective delivery of high-quality solution architectures that are consistent with the Government and DIA’s Enterprise Architecture and strategies, across multiple products, domains and platforms to deliver strategic business outcomes, govern solution’s execution, with support from the peer architects and wider project teams.

You will be responsible for :

• Translating business strategy, business plans and technology roadmaps into cohesive enterprise, branch and portfolio strategies, roadmaps, and architectures.
• Provide enterprise modelling, solution architecture assurance, reviewing technical architectures, managing architecture standards and promoting technology strategies into ICT portfolio planning.
• Ensuring alignment to business needs, industry good practice, alignment to Te Tari Taiwhenua ICT strategic plans and agreed principles, and optimal use of organisational technology assets and resources.
• Establish, build and maintain strong relationships across the Department and with external stakeholders to achieve trusted advisor status.
• Oversee Enterprise Architecture development, implementation and ongoing refinement activities.
• Share good practice, lessons learned and constantly update skills based on changing technologies, practice, and knowledge.
