We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and deliver a flawless dining experience that complements our premium culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to inspire and manage a team to maintain the highest standards of service and efficiency.

We offer a modern dining experience that blends traditional Indian flavours with contemporary presentation. Our restaurant caters to dine-in, takeaway, catering, and special events, attracting both local and international guests seeking genuine Hyderabadi hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service across lunch and dinner shifts.

Manage staff rosters, shift planning, and labour costs efficiently.

Maintain compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and health & safety regulations.

Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation of the restaurant meet brand standards.

Customer Experience

Ensure all guests receive professional, attentive, and personalized service.

Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Uphold Vani’s Kitchen’s premium image and service philosophy.

Staff Leadership & Training

Recruit, train, and mentor front-of-house team members, including supervisors and wait staff.

Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Financial & Administrative Duties

Assist with budgeting, revenue tracking, and cost control measures.

Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and POS systems.

Manage supplier relationships, stock ordering, and inventory control.

Marketing & Events Coordination

Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events, catering, and loyalty programs (e.g., Spice Points ).

Support new promotions, menu launches, and seasonal campaigns.

Ensure consistent execution of brand identity across all guest touchpoints.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role (preferably in premium or fine dining).

Strong knowledge of Indian or multicultural cuisines preferred.

Understanding of POS systems, inventory management, and staff rostering.

Valid NZ work visa or residency required.

LCQ and Manager’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
