We are seeking a Migrant Conservation Programme Coordinator in Auckland to engage migrant communities in hands‑on conservation projects and support their connection to nature. If you thrive working with people, love the outdoors, and bring strengths in community engagement, we’d love to hear from you — you don’t need to tick every box.

About us

Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and restoration of Te Taiao (the environment) in Aotearoa.

With offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, each year we engage thousands of volunteers and participants in conservation work across the motu. Together, we have planted more than 2 million native trees, cleared over 800 hectares of invasive weeds, removed 14,000kg of rubbish, supported predator control and species monitoring, and helped hundreds of people move into full‑time employment through our training and work programmes.

By joining the CVNZ team, you’ll be contributing directly to this mahi — restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and helping Papatūānuku thrive.

Migrant Conservation Programme (MCP) Project Coordinator

Join our passionate team! We’re looking for an enthusiastic, community‑minded Conservation Coordinator to lead our Migrant Conservation Programme across the Puketāpapa, Whau, and Albert‑Eden areas. You’ll work closely with migrant community organisations, local conservation groups, and residents to create meaningful cross‑cultural connections and spark interest in urban conservation. From planning community events and volunteer days to delivering workshops and practical conservation projects, you’ll build community connection and bring people together to care for nature.

You also oversee the safety and well‑being of participants during conservation activities, ensuring every volunteer has a positive, safe, and rewarding experience.

If you thrive working with a diverse range of people, enjoy spending time outdoors, and want to make a real difference for both communities and the environment, this role is for you.
