The community nursing team provides nursing care, advice and support to patients and their whanau across various healthcare settings and specialised areas inclusive of district nursing, palliative care and oncology alongside other areas of specialty.Working as a casual district nurse you will have the opportunity to train and work predominantly within the district nursing team as well as developing the knowledge and skill to assist the palliative care and oncology teams.
The primary focus of the role is to assess, plan, co-ordinate, provide and evaluate quality nursing care for patients in the community.
To provide nursing services, support and resources for the benefit of our patients and their families / whanau.There is a requirement to be able to work across the whole Wairarapa District and we are especially looking for nurses who are based in Carterton or further South who could be available to assist the district nursing team based in Greytown when required.These are casual positions working 0 - 80 hours per fortnight, as and when required.
Applicants must be available at short notice to cover any shift, including weekends and evenings at times.To be eligible to apply you must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a permanent resident or permanent work visa status.About the ServiceThe community nursing teams deliver community and outpatient services based out of two locations in Masterton and Greytown.
They provide care to people in their own homes and in outpatient clinics, and work closely alongside specialist Health NZ services, primary care and community providers.
Clients cover the age spectrum and present with a diverse range of needs that require community nursing care, specialist nursing management and / or short-term home supports.About YouWe are looking for experienced and enthusiastic registered nurses, preferably with prior post graduate experience in a community setting.
