We're looking for a SCADA Software Engineer to join our Operational Excellence Group in a permanent, full-time role, reporting to the Control Systems Lead.
This opportunity has opened up due to the retirement of our long-standing SCADA expert after an incredible 28 years of service - now it's your turn to make your mark.
In this role, you'll provide advanced technical expertise across SCADA, telemetry, hardware, software and networking for water and waste services.
You'll be the go-to specialist ensuring our systems run smoothly, securely and in full compliance with environmental and public health standards.
This is more than just a technical role - it's a chance to lead innovation, drive strategy and safeguard essential infrastructure across three councils.

Shape the future of SCADA by leading strategy, standards and continuous improvement across three councils
Design and maintain intuitive HMI graphics that help operators monitor and control critical infrastructure
Expand and enhance the SCADA network, integrating systems and streamlining data flows for smarter operations
Automate data collection to support compliance reporting and ensure safe drinking water and wastewater treatment
Maintain alarm and event systems to enable remote fault detection and rapid response
Ensure legislative compliance while delivering real-time data that supports public health and environmental standards
Adhere to established cybersecurity protocols for OT environments
VBA experience
DNP3 experience
RS Linx / OPC experience
Full driver's licence
