Ōrākei School is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team in 2026 as our new learning support coordinator (LSC) . This is a full-time permanent position for a registered teacher holding a current practising certificate.

The LSC will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusive practice across our kura, working collaboratively with our SENCo, SWiS, staff, whānau, and external agencies to ensure students with additional learning needs are supported to reach their potential and thrive.

Key responsibilities and attributes :

• Proven experience in supporting and including children and young people with learning support needs within the classroom setting.
• Strong relationship-building skills with students, staff, parents, whānau, and the wider community.
• The ability to engage effectively at a school leadership level.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to work collaboratively across the school.
• A commitment to providing culturally responsive support that upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi .
• Meets the professional standards relevant to their current teaching position.
