Enviro NZ is looking for a Special Projects Engineer to join the team at the Hampton Resource and Energy Precinct.

In this key role, you will take ownership of a wide range of infrastructure projects including landfill cell construction, drainage systems, bulk earthworks and pumping infrastructure.

You will be responsible for ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with specifications.

About The Role

This is a hands-on engineering position where you\'ll be involved in everything landfill infrastructure related.

From short-term planning and contractor coordination to technical design, procurement and on-site supervision.

You\'ll support survey set out, oversee construction activities, manage quality assurance and monitor compliance.

Throughout, you\'ll champion continuous improvement and promote best practice engineering across the Hampton precinct.

Responsibilities

Delivering landfill and civil infrastructure projects

Managing contractors to ensure safe and high-quality execution

Supporting procurement activities, surveying, quality assurance and project documentation

Coordinating planning efforts and resolving site-level constraints

Ensuring compliance with environmental standards and health and safety requirements

Tracking project costs and maintaining appropriate stock levels

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field

5+ years\' experience in civil / earthworks projects

Strong coordination and delivery skills

Understanding of erosion / sediment control and environmental compliance

CAD and surveying experience (Civil 3D a bonus)

Physically capable and site-ready
