About our graduate planning roles

Our planning consultancy team are a talented bunch. We have strong technical planning experience in the Resource Management Act (RMA) and urban planning, and we genuinely love sharing that expertise, knowledge, and passion with our developing planners. Our graduates get involved in a range of stakeholder work with developers, businesses, and government agencies. They have the opportunity to work on a range of development projects, planning policy work and site or client visits alongside our senior consultants.

Responsibilities

As a planning graduate, you’ll provide well‑rounded and quality planning services to all our clients. Some day‑to‑day aspects of the role include :

  • Resource consent processing for local authorities
  • Resource consent acquisition and due diligence
  • Designation / Notice of Requirement acquisition and due diligence
  • District plan review and policy services.
  • Providing quality client service through courteous, prompt and efficient communication while building and maintaining positive relationships.

  • Eligibility and locations

    To be eligible to apply, you will be a current or recent graduate (within the past two years). You will have an undergraduate or master’s degree in planning, or a relevant post‑graduate qualification. We have planning roles available in Auckland and Queenstown, with the possibility of hiring elsewhere for the right candidate.
