Overview

The Hamilton Hearing Association is a not-for-profit organisation supporting and advocating for all people with hearing loss and their families / whaanau in our community, including schools and rest homes.

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our committee!

Why Join Our Committee?

We are very passionate about education and support for those living with hearing loss and deafness.

We run 2 regular fundraisers annually to support the work that we do.

There is no obligation for you to assist with the fundraiser, but we would love your support.

To remain active in our community we need a committee / quorum to operate.

Bring your fresh ideas and excitement to our team.

If you would like to be part of our amazing team and want to bring new energy into what we do, we would love to hear from you!

Requirements

Ability to attend a monthly meeting.

Ability to attend annual general meeting.

Has a community spirit.

Has empathy & understanding of those living with hearing loss.

Enjoys working in a group.

A great sense of humour.

Time commitment

Attend a 1 to 2 hour monthly committee meeting, 3rd Monday of every month

Attend 2 regular events per year, up to 2 hourly shifts is often required for these events (if possible).

We are able to be flexible and change the day / time of monthly committee meetings to suit the right candidate.
