We are looking for an AMI Montessori elementary guide to join our journey.
Our Montessori Class consists of approximately 30 students (6-12 years) with two guides, within a traditional public school of approximately 150 students. The Montessori Class is fed by a four class casa (3-6 years) which is situated on a separate campus. There is a strong commitment to quality Montessori within a supportive community. A very experienced Montessori Guide leads the team.
The position is available from 26 January 2026 depending on immigration requirements. Westown School is situated in the heart of New Plymouth, a city of 87,000 people, in Taranaki. Located on the West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. We offer the chance to move to New Zealand to become part of our community. The successful applicant needs to have an educational (teaching) qualification in order to gain New Zealand teacher registration AND a Montessori elementary qualification with preference given to AMI. Rules responsibilities and salary is based on the NZ primary teachers collective agreement. Full time permanent (visa dependent)
