This role is appropriate for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (MSK PT) wanting to gain experience in advanced practise within the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy field. This role is permanent part time. We have two high performing and welcoming teams across CCHV who have developed high trust relationships with the Orthopaedic SMOs and services. This role supports the \'shorter wait times for FSA specialist appointments and shorter wait times for elective treatment\' targets. You will be fully supported to work in clinics both co-located with SMO\'s but also with your Advanced Clinical Practise Physiotherapy colleagues. You will have the opportunity to begin working with the advanced practise career framework developed by SME clinicians working in this area of practise.
About the Team / Service Location
We have two teams - one based in Capital, Coast and one based in the Hutt. They have line management under different services but also work together to support the growth and development of this area of expertise. This role would be supported by experienced team members in both areas of the district but will sit within the Outpatient Hand therapy, MSK & ACPP Physiotherapy team.
About you
You will be an experienced MSK PT ideally with experience in the public health system, who is knowledgeable in Orthopaedic / MSK assessment and treatment. You will be someone who has completed postgraduate training in the MSK and Pain arenas. You will be a self-starter who can shift gears comfortably and can read situations quickly. You will be confident in supporting the excellent work that our team has developed over the last few years. You will be comfortable in your own abilities to be able to work well with physiotherapists working in advanced scope of practise alongside the Orthopaedic surgical team. Minimum of 5 years clinical practice (with at least 2 years working as a physiotherapist in relevant area of practice).
