Job title : Employment & Service Coordinator
Hours : Permanent Full Time, 40 hours per week
About the role :
This role coordinates services provided by CCS Disability Action within Employment Support and Vocational contracts. The position is responsible for working in partnership with the individuals and their families to develop, deliver and / or coordinate a range of services that aim to empower and enable the individual to achieve their personal employment goals.
Job-specific information :
The Coordinator will support the individual and their family / whānau with a service plan by providing information and options, coordinating and delivering a range of individualised support services to a high standard and in accordance with the CCS Disability Action vision and mission and values. Ensuring the individual feels empowered and able to participate in employment by accessing opportunities of their choosing.
The Coordinator will be aware of the benefits of diversity within employment and the tools and supports available for people moving into employment. Relationships will be in place with disabled people and employers and this role will be used to connect these parties into sustainable employment relationships. Services will be delivered in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures. Our organisation takes a social, rather than medical approach, supporting disabled people to live their best lives. We are guided by the Enabling Good Lives principles, shifting power and authority back to disabled people and their families, to increase choice and control in their lives.
