Contract – Auckland Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer with expertise in React and TypeScript for an immediate contract role in Auckland. Join a leading enterprise as they modernize their core platform, migrating from Angular to React. This high-impact position focuses on performance, accessibility, and modern UI development within their crucial program.

The Role

As a key contributor, you will build and enhance user-facing features using modern React architecture.

Your Responsibilities Include

Development : Implementing high-performance features in a React / TypeScript application.
Quality Assurance : Leading test automation using Playwright to ensure application reliability.
Accessibility : Driving the implementation and testing of accessibility across new platform features.
Integration : Ensuring seamless integration with the Design System (Figma) and underlying services.

Key Technical Requirements

React Mastery : Senior-level experience in developing and migrating large-scale applications with React.

TypeScript : Strong proficiency in TypeScript for robust, type-safe front-end development.

Test Automation : Proven hands‑on experience with an automation framework, preferably Playwright.

Accessibility : Demonstrable experience implementing and testing against WCAG standards.

Architecture : Experience in environments migrating from older frameworks (e.g., Angular) to React.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Content Management System (CMS) integration, particularly Contentful.

Familiarity with enterprise-scale Design Systems (e.g., consuming Figma specs).

Contract Details

Start Date : ASAP (ideally within 1–2 weeks).

Location : Auckland (Hybrid model : 3 days in‑office required).

Engagement : Contract.

Project Focus : Mission‑critical application modernization.
