Clinical Pathway Co-Ordinator

Our busy endoscopy department is on an exciting improvement journey that puts our patients at the heart of everything we do

An opportunity has arisen to assist the unit manager and the wider endoscopy nursing team with administrative tasks.

This role would suit someone who enjoys finding solutions to problems, can work flexibly and cope with changing demands.

Main duties of the job

You will be producing audits on inpatient and outpatient procedures and completing other work to ensure the unit meets Joint Advisory Group (JAG) standards.

As well as supporting the day to day running of the unit with maintaining the roster, staffing levels, staff training, assisting with recruitment, ordering equipment and monitoring progress of repairs.

Prepare meeting notes and assist in managing sickness absence in accordance with HR policies and guidance.

Person Specification

Qualifications and training

Knowledge of a range of administration procedures

Knowledge of computer software programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets and PowerPoint.

Working within acute hospital setting

RSA 3 / AMSPAR or other Equivalent qualification

Skills and experience

2 years experience in office environment

Some understanding of medical terms

Worked in an Endoscopy setting

Governance

Upholds and models the Trust Values

Be aware of the Trust's policy on sharing information including GDPR

Experience in Endoscopy services and provisions

Personal / Professional Attributes

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, empathy and diplomacy.

Ability to remain calm in a pressurised environment

Other Requirements

Attention to detail - accuracy, spelling etc.

Prioritisation of own work
