Have meaningful impact as a Senior Business Analyst

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our NZI Transformation team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping customer-focused, commercially sound, and technology-enabled solutions. You’ll work closely with NZI Product Owners, SMEs, and a diverse group of stakeholders—including external partners and IAG’s Technology & Operations teams—to ensure business requirements are tightly aligned with delivery objectives.

In this role, you’ll lead business analysis across the full project lifecycle, applying Agile principles and IAG’s Value Delivery Framework to drive strategic outcomes. You’ll reengineer and embed business processes, support solution implementation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. A key part of your contribution will be uplifting capability across the BA team through coaching and thought leadership, while building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering well-informed insights that support business readiness and transformation.

What you bring to the role :

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, with a strong track record in complex environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data from multiple sources and generate actionable insights.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on delivering value for customers, the business, and internal teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Skilled in workshop facilitation, presentation, and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adapting to evolving business needs.
