Overview

Do you thrive on organisation, teamwork and proactive problem‑solving? Join the GCSB's Technology and Data Directorate on a 12-month fixed term opportunity and support a small team of high‑performing, fun‑loving Project Managers.

Your role within the team will be highly valued and the work you do will be instrumental in coordinating and managing various aspects of our programmes and projects; ensuring seamless integration and effective collaboration among team members. You'll be a key member of the team, supporting Project Managers across a variety of programmes that span the wider New Zealand Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and capturing the status of projects
  • Risk management and financial monitoring
  • Producing effective communications, status reports and other project artefacts
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and consultants

  • Who we are looking for

    A proactive organiser who enjoys streamlining work and communicating openly. You'll be confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders, have a strong customer focus, and be able to work independently and self-manage.

    We will also be looking for :

  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in a changing environment
  • Strong technical skills - proficient with Microsoft Office (including MSProject) and quick to learn new tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Eligibility and security considerations

    Before you apply, note the following eligibility requirements :

  • Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
  • OR Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
  • Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily, this means you will have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.

    The expected appointment range for this position is between $73,684 - $78,596.

    Salary Band F $73,684 (90%) - $94,152 (115%)

    Midpoint of the salary range (100%) reflects full competence in the role
