Sterile Services Technician – Gillies Hospital
About the Role
Join our dedicated theatre team as a Sterile Services Technician, responsible for the complete sterilisation cycle – from decontamination and inspection to testing, assembling, packing and sterilising reusable medical devices.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday across morning and afternoon shifts.
You'll confidently operate advanced sterilisation equipment, maintain strict compliance with AS / NZS
Skills and experience
Previous experience in a Sterilising Department with evidence-based competency
New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology
Strong knowledge of quality assurance / control and infection prevention standards
Skilled across all functional areas of Sterile Supply Services
Understanding of the mechanical operation of various sterilising equipment
Competent computer skills, particularly in MS Windows and related systems
