By providing accurate analysis and collaborating with managers, you will help inform important business decisions and contribute to effective financial management.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with New Zealand accounting standards (NZ GAAP).
Reconcile accounts on monthly basis promptly with strict timelines, including bank, creditors, debtors, and other balance sheet accounts.Assist in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and reports for senior management.Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly / quarterly reports and year-end financial statements.Assist with GST (Goods and Services Tax) reporting, ensuring accurate preparation and timely filing of returns.Support the preparation of other tax-related filings (e.g., income tax, FBT, etc.).
Assist with Budget and Forecasting processAssist with Audit and Audit queriesAssist with filing Stats NZ and other external filingsAbout YouWe're looking for someone with 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Possessing a strong understanding of New Zealand tax regulations and being able to demonstrate sound accounting expertise is an advantage.Strong working knowledge of New Zealand Accounting standards (NZ GAAP)Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Advanced Excel)Working knowledge of financial and management accounting, including IFRSThe ability to maintain attention to detail while working within tight deadlinesUp to 10% (of total remuneration) incentive bonusAnnual wellbeing allowanceIncome protection, life and terminal illness insuranceWe are committed to providing equal opportunities and strive to be a diverse organisation with an inclusive culture.
