About the Centre

An opportunity has arisen to lead the team at Howick Baptist Church Kindergarten – a Christian-based centre located in East Auckland.

Our kindergarten caters for children aged 2-5 years, and we are seeking applicants who like working collaboratively with the teaching team and children's whanau to deliver a programme that celebrates each child and prepares them for the next part of their learning journey.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a qualified registered teacher who identifies with and supports the special character of the kindergarten, and who is a motivated team player with excellent organisational skills.

You will also need to have valid NZ residency or citizenship.

We are seeking a person with some leadership experience preferably in either a centre manager or assistant manager type role.

You should be able to demonstrate a very good knowledge of compliance and be confident working with MOE and ERO.

Position Details

This is a 5-day position based on our centre hours which are 8.30am to 4pm, and includes the first week of the primary school holidays, with the possibility of additional hours for administration and planning.
