About the Role
The Central Region Eating DisorderService (CREDS) is excited to welcome Peer Support Workers to our unique multi-disciplinaryteam. Each Peer Support Worker will build peer relationships with CREDS clientsbased on mutuality,authenticity and respect. It will promote motivation for change and activeparticipation in treatment whilst using lived experience to inspire hope.The salary range for this role is based on Allied Health PHSTStep3 Group B / L2 on the Health & Community Worker scale $67000-$72000.
About the Team / Service / Location
CREDS offerstreatment and therapy services to individuals with eating disorders, as part ofthe Mental Health, Addictionsand Intellectual Disability Service (MHAID) operated by the Wairarapa, HuttValley and Capital and Coast District Health Boards. We provide a full range ofspecialist services to people with eating disorders in the greater Wellingtonarea - from nutritional counseling, outpatient therapy and psycho-socialeducation through to a 6-bed residential care facility and 7am-7pm therapeuticDay Programme.This exciting role will focus on buildingpeer relationships with CREDS clients based on mutuality, authenticity andrespect. It will promote motivation for change and active participation intreatment whilst using lived experience to inspire hope. The purpose of therole is also to challenge stigma anddiscrimination and proactively promote inclusion and diversity.
