Overview

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for your next opportunity?

We have a position available at our Canterbury plant near Ashburton, this permanent full-time position that will work on a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to assist the wider Engineering team to keep the production process running by installing and maintaining all electrical equipment on site to a standard that complies with all food safety regulations and in accordance with the New Zealand wiring regulations.

This is a fast-paced environment requiring the successful candidate to demonstrate organisational abilities and enthusiasm for a processing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

A current practicing certificate as a NZ Registered electrician

Considerable understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for a processing / manufacturing environment

Proven knowledge and experience (ideally five years or more) with electrical systems and electronics in a manufacturing or food processing industry

Proven computer skills

Knowledge of monitoring and auditing systems for compliance

Ability to diagnose problems associated with electrical and process control

Working knowledge of mechanical systems
