The Tararua and Ruahine ranges prominently mark the centre of the district.We are searching for an experienced and inspirational leader to fill the role of Pitau Whakarei Maori – Group Manager Hauora Maori.
This key position reports operationally to the Group Director Operations and professionally to the Regional Director Hauora Maori.
As an integral member of the District Leadership team, the Pitau Whakarei Maori is responsible for offering leadership, strategic advice, and direction across hospital specialist services, ensuring our commitment to improving equity and achieving better health and wellbeing for Maori.To excel in this role, you must deeply understand and respect kaupapa Maori, be aware of the equity issues affecting Maori, and have strong relationships within te ao Maori.
Senior experience in the health sector, fluency in te reo Maori, and robust connections across the rohe are essential.
We seek an inspiring and agile leader known for extensive senior leadership experience and the ability to influence and impact the health sector in reducing inequities.
