The company has been operating for over 160 years and this wealth of experience is important to the continued success of the organisation.We are currently looking for a PackingOperator to be based at our Mt Maunganui site and to work in our packing operation on a permanent full-time basis.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that the day-to-day productivity of the pre weigh, premix and packing areas are at optimal levelsEnsuring products are properly packaged according to quality standardsMonitoring production lines, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to safety protocols within a manufacturing environmentWork environmentPackaging operators typically work in manufacturing facilities, often on production lines and may be exposed to noise and repetitive tasksQualificationsIdeally, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in food handling packing operations, however, full training will be given with strong emphasis on workplace Health & Safety, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.Mechanical aptitudePhysical staminaAbility to work shiftsBasic computer skillsAbility to learn and follow documented systems and processes.Commitment to ensuring safety of self and others.Enthusiasm and enjoyment of working to tight schedules within a team environment.Understanding of relevant industry regulations and quality standardsYou will need your own transport to enter the Port of TaurangaPerksFree medical insurance through Southern CrossFree productEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLearning and developmentThe successful candidate will need to undergo a pre-employment medical which will include a drug and alcohol testApplication questionsYour application will include the following questions : Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
