Planning & Inventory ControllerPurpose : Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is to develop a supply plan for dairy activities to meet and exceed customer expectations on quality and DIFOT.
The incumbent will also be accountable for Inventory control for the New Zealand (NZ) business.Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain accurate supply plans based on production forecasts, customer demand and seasonal variances.Use SAP and MRP systems to create and manage production schedules, ensuring the availability of raw materials and packagingCollaborate with production and procurement teams to align supply plans with business objectivesMonitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, work in progress (WIP) and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstock situationsConduct regular inventory reconciliations using SAP to ensure data accuracy.Implement inventory optimization strategies, including safety stock levels and reorder points.Review and adjust MRP outputs to address supply chain disruptions or demand changes.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supplier issues.Liaise with Milk Supply, production, Logistics and Quality teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.Support the implementation of new SAP functionalities or upgrades to enhance supply chain capabilities.Track key supply chain KPI's, such as inventory turnover, service level and forecast accuracyIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in supply and inventory processes.Create all new SKUs for businessEnsure Master data in reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure data hygiene and integrityWhat are the key requirements for this role : Minimum five (5) years' experience working SAP and data analysis and an in-depth knowledge of Dairy / FMCG will be advantageousSupply chain qualification – CPIM will be advantageous or 5 years on the job experience in supply planning and inventory management.Excellent planning and time management skills.
