Freelance Podcast Editor – Part time

This part-time contract role is ideal for a detail-oriented podcast editor with expertise in both audio and video production. The position involves editing weekly podcast episodes, each up to 90 minutes, ensuring a polished and professional final product. The editor will be responsible for removing filler words, stumbles, and mistakes, as well as integrating intros, outros, music, and advertisements. Mastery of audio levels and clarity is essential to maintain a consistent listening experience. In addition to audio editing, the role requires video editing skills, including trimming, multicam switching when available, and optimizing visuals for various platforms. The editor will also create engaging social media content such as audiograms, videograms, and custom graphics tailored for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Flexibility in scheduling is offered, provided that episodes are delivered punctually.

Deliverables

  • Edit and master weekly podcast episodes (audio and video, up to 90 minutes each)
  • Remove filler words, stumbles, and errors for a seamless listening experience
  • Add intros, outros, music, and advertisements as required
  • Ensure consistent audio levels and professional sound quality
  • Edit video content, including trimming and multicam switching where possible
  • Prepare video files for multiple formats and platforms
  • Create audiograms, videograms, and custom graphics for social media promotion
  • Deliver all assets on schedule for weekly release

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing both audio and video podcast content
  • Proficiency with Riverside and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of audio mastering, noise reduction, and sound balancing
  • Ability to create engaging social media content (audiograms, videograms, graphics)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms : Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet weekly deadlines
  • Flexible availability to accommodate episode delivery schedules
