The Opportunity

Join a high-performing Commercial Finance team as a Finance Business Partner, with two exciting opportunities available, a 12-month fixed term contract and a permanent role.

This senior position plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making across RLA Australasia, partnering closely with the CFO, Chapter Lead, and business stakeholders.

You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting, while managing investment spend, transformation benefits, and cost base control to ensure timely, accurate insights that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, deliver robust variance analysis, and guide business unit leaders through cost management and strategic planning.

Support project portfolio governance, uplift financial controls, and mentor both onshore and offshore resources.

Distil complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, influencing senior leadership and enabling effective decision-making.

Success Qualifications

• years' experience in reporting and analysis, ideally within life insurance or financial services.

CA, CPA, or actuarial qualifications preferred.

Strong stakeholder management, advanced problem-solving, autonomous in fast-paced, agile environment.

Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, collaborative mindset essential.

What You Will Do

Work with senior leadership to ensure Finance deliverables, requirements and controls are met.

Support monthly, quarterly, full year close management reporting for RLA entities.

Report and drive end-to-end BU costs, produce variance analysis, partner with BU owners to investigate deviations.

Monitor project activity associated with cost reductions and identify cost savings.

Support business plan planning and forecasting processes, assimilating data for inclusion in overall plan.

Provide direction and monitoring for offshore outsourced resources.

Support uplift of financial controls, process development and documentation.
