Your Impact
As a Merchandiser based in Rotorua, you will play a key role in ensuring Asahi Beverages’ products are available, visible, and presented to the highest standard across your allocated stores. You will support strong in-store execution, compliance to promotional activity, and deliver a positive brand experience for our customers.
While the role formally reports to the District Sales Manager, the hiring manager works closely with this position day to day, providing clear direction and support to ensure success in market. This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who takes pride in execution, organisation, and working independently.

Key Accountabilities
Ensure all ABNZ ranged products are stocked, rotated, and presented in line with store ranging requirements and planograms
Merchandise fridges, chillers, floor displays, and relays to agreed standards, ensuring pricing and promotional material is correctly displayed
Execute promotional activity, product launches, and sales communications in store
Complete stock fills and relays to ensure products are visible, shoppable, and compliant
Maintain strong relationships with in-store decision makers and staff
Provide feedback to customers and internal stakeholders on store execution and issues
Work collaboratively with Sales Representatives and other Merchandisers to support territory execution
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards while working in store
Working Pattern
This role is 13 hours per week , with shifts typically structured as follows :
Preferred working days are Wednesday to Friday , aligned to regional delivery schedules
Shifts generally run 3 to 4 hours per day
Start and finish times are flexible and can be discussed based on availability
About You
Previous merchandising or FMCG customer service experience is advantageous but not essential
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Well organised with strong time management and planning skills
Customer-focused with a professional and reliable approach
Physically capable of manual handling tasks such as lifting and moving stock
Confident engaging with store teams and representing the Asahi portfolio
Hold a current driver’s licence and full working rights in New Zealand
