Project Manager

OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced and well-connected Project Manager to join our Christchurch Division.

This is a pivotal role for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects.As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for managing existing programmes of work while actively cultivating new client relationships and strengthening existing ones.

Your leadership and experience will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of Large Residential, Light Commercial projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of construction projects across the regionServe as a primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersManage project budgets, timelines, and quality standards to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with company policiesChampion Health & Safety protocols and ensure site complianceConduct site visits, prepare tender documentation, and develop construction methodologies and programmesOversee resource allocation and workforce wellbeingFoster a positive team culture aligned with our company values and group policiesRequirementsMinimum 5 years experience in a multi-divisional construction environment, with a proven track record of delivering successful projectsFormal Project Management qualification preferred, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience managing Main Contractor projects, ideally in within the Education Sector, particularly with the Ministry of EducationProven experience using MS Project to develop and manage construction programmes; proficient in MS Office SuiteExperience with platforms such as Procore, Aconex, and Salesforce is advantageousStrong understanding of New Zealand building regulations, industry standards, and formal construction proceduresProven experience in managing subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resourcesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBenefitsCompany vehicle for full personal and professional useSouthern Cross Medical InsuranceSupportive, people-first company cultureCareer development opportunities within a growing group of companiesBe part of a region experiencing significant industry growthA chance to contribute to a values-driven business making a difference in communitiesAbout UsWe are a purpose-driven, family-owned business with a proud history of enhancing homes and communities across Aotearoa since 1983.
