Eoi - Multi-Skilled Operators - O2Nl Project

OverviewWe are seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated and experienced Operators to join our Construction Crew team for the Otaki to North of Levin (O2NL) project.

Otaki to North of Levin Highway will improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, and increase transport choices for the area\'s growing population.

The O2NL project is led in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, MuaUpoko Tribal Authority, local hapu of Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga and council partner Horowhenua District Council.

This project is delivered using a two-alliance approach, with each alliance delivering a section of the road and associated works.

Downer is proud to be a partner within the South Alliance alongside McConnell Dowell, Beca, and Tonkin + Taylor as Non-Owner Participants (NOPs).

Our scope is from Otaki through to South of the Ohau river.With preparations for O2NL\'s first Summer season underway, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced heavy machine operators.ResponsibilitiesSite establishment and compound setupConstruction of hardstands and crane pads for underpassesCarting and placing materialsRoad subgrade construction (RSC)General earthworks and support tasksYou will be operating a variety of heavy machinery such as : ExcavatorsRollersWatercartsGradersYou\'ll also be expected to assist with physical labour tasks as required to support the team and project delivery.Requirements / QualificationsA minimum Class 4 Licence and Wheels, Tracks & Rollers (WTR) endorsementProven experience operating Trimble GPS systems for precision earthworksDrainage and landscaping experience, with an eye for detail and finishCapability to operate a range of excavators, adapting to different site needsExperience building crane pads and working around structures teams (desirable)A strong commitment to safe work practices and Zero Harm principlesReliability, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to support your teamPhysical fitness and a positive attitude toward working outdoors in all conditionsO2NL are committed to recruiting local talent; applicants should reside in the Horowhenua, Kapiti or surrounding regions, or be willing to relocate.Why you will enjoy working hereO2NL offers a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing, supportive alliance environment.
