About the Role

The IT Training Coordinator provides vital administrative and operational support within the Digital Services Directorate, ensuring the efficient delivery of IT training programs across the organisation. Working closely with the IT Training team, this role supports the scheduling, resource management, and execution of training initiatives designed to enhance digital skills among staff, thereby enabling high-quality healthcare delivery. By coordinating training efforts and managing key administrative functions, the IT Training Coordinator contributes directly to the Digital Delivery team's reliability and effectiveness, aligning with Health New Zealand's strategic goals to improve digital literacy and capability across the health system. This role plays an essential part in supporting the organisation's digital transformation, ultimately driving improved service delivery and operational efficiency throughout the sector.

About the Team / Service / Location

The IT Training Coordinator operates within the IT Training team, part of the Digital Delivery function under the wider Digital Services Directorate. Reporting into the Capability ManagerIT Training Manager, this team is focused on delivering comprehensive digital skills development programs to support staff across Health New Zealand. The team plays a key role in building digital capability and literacy, ensuring that training initiatives are effectively coordinated and aligned with organisational objectives. The broader Digital Delivery function is responsible for driving the adoption and optimisation of digital tools and services throughout the health system, supporting improved service delivery, operational efficiency, and the successful implementation of Health New Zealand's digital transformation agenda.

About you

You are an organised and proactive professional with a strong administrative background and a passion for supporting digital learning and development. You bring excellent coordination skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help ensure the smooth delivery of IT training programs. With a focus on operational efficiency and user engagement, you contribute to building digital capability across the organisation. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role :

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for training delivery.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating initiatives and managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience in a training or education environment is desirable.
  • Experience working in a large organisation, preferably within the public sector or healthcare, is advantageous.
