About the Role
This is a sales-focused role with a strong technical and project coordination element . You will drive growth across Air Solutions’ dehumidification and Steril-Aire UV-C product lines by working closely with consultants, contractors, and end-users.
Success in this role comes from understanding the technical applications of our products, interpreting project requirements, and delivering tailored solutions. You will contribute to business development, account management, and project delivery, providing a full end-to-end experience from lead generation through to project handover.
This role offers a mix of autonomy and collaboration : you will manage markets and accounts while working closely with internal teams, contractors, and the Sales Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Travel across New Zealand and occasional trips to the Pacific Islands may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
Generate new business and grow existing accounts within assigned sectors and regions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and key decision makers.Present tailored solutions, including ROI, energy efficiency, and hygiene benefits.Prepare quotes, pricing, and proposals ensuring solutions meet client needs and commercial objectives.Represent Air Solutions at industry trade shows and networking events.Technical Design & SpecificationUnderstand technical product applications and client requirements to provide practical, bespoke solutions.
Interpret project requirements and develop system designs tailored to each client.Provide technical guidance to contractors and internal teams during project planning and delivery.Project Coordination & DeliveryManage the full project lifecycle from sales handover to project completion.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.Monitor project milestones, budgets, and risks; report progress to management.Assist with commissioning and post-installation support where required.Contribute to overall market development strategies for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.Identify opportunities in new sectors or regions and support the expansion of Air Solutions’ market presence.About You
2–5 years’ experience in technical sales, project coordination, or a similar role.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements.Proven success in developing relationships and closing sales.Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in UV-C, dehumidification, HVAC, or related technical equipment.Project management experience or formal qualifications in engineering or project management.Familiarity with CAD or other design software.What We Offer
