Real Whanganui's youth service is calledWhetu Marewa (Rising Star).

The aim of this service is to build the confidence,resilience, and wellbeing of taiohi, aged 12-24 years, with mental health andaddiction related issues.

Support combines a positive youth developmentapproach with brief intervention.Registered health professionals andyouth workers provide support in locations where young people are, such asschools and in the community with the goal to provide easy access to supportfor those who need it.

As a Registered Health ProfessionalSome of yourresponsibilities may include but are not limited to : Supporting taiohi with their primary mental health in school or in the community.Enhancing confidence, resilience and wellbeing in the taiohi we support.Supporting taiohi to re-connect with community services and take control of their own lives.Providing assessment and support using a range of evidence-based brief interventions.This is afull-time role working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, with afterhours oncall on a rotational basis, and is based in Whanganui.You | MouWe are interested to hear from candidates who have a current healthregistration (Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Social Worker)You'llcome with a leadership experience and great at building team culture.Youhave ability to cope under pressure and use own initiative when requiredin a flexible and changing environmentAHPCAA recognised qualification and current practicing certificateAcurrent first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.Afull clean NZ driver's license.Demonstratedexperience working with young people with complex mental health andaddiction needs.ClosingDate | Ra Katinga : 26 September 2025.
