We proudly provide quality healthcare to our population.
With a focus on outpatient consultations and management of inflammatory disease, our service delivery is uniquely interwoven with the demands of our population base and the referral General Practitioner structure.
Our patient population is predominantly inflammatory arthritis with a high prevalence of connective tissue disorders and vasculitis.
We undertake a range of procedures and have available clinic based ultrasound and nail fold video capillaroscopy.
In addition to conventional radiology, CT and MRI, we have easy access to Nuclear Medicine SPECT scans, and state-of-the art immunology laboratory diagnostics.The Department has a close association with the University of Otago Medical School and the post holder would be expected to assist with teaching rheumatology to medical students and allied health professionals.In this post, you would join a department of dedicated and enthusiastic rheumatology colleagues committed to delivering quality care, and who routinely share ideas and knowledge, within a highly collegial workplace.To enjoy being part of our team, you will be a highly competent, flexible and collaborative specialist who values constant learning.
