About The Role

Contract Test Lead – Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT). We’re looking for an experienced Test Lead to join a high-profile programme on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives taking ownership, leading testing activities, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders — from engineers through to business users.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead process and procedure testing using workflows provided by the Lead BA
  • Create and manage run-sheets detailing pre-requisites, role access, testing order, user involvement, and environment setup
  • Coordinate and execute tests, managing observations and defects with the BA and wider teams
  • Produce comprehensive test summaries and reports, ensuring clarity and consistency across stakeholders
  • Lead Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) activities, including :

Designing service management test scenarios in collaboration with business users

  • Preparing users and systems for OAT testing
  • Coordinating with broader teams, including frontline users, dispatchers, and engineers
  • Running smoke tests, managing defects, retesting, and reporting test status

    • What we’re Looking for

  • Proven experience in OAT testing
  • Strong background in systemic testing processes and procedures
  • ITIL certification and understanding of service management processes
  • Exceptional leadership and self-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills — confident, approachable, and able to work effectively with all parts of the business
  • Known for being rigorous and thorough in documentation, test execution, defect management, and reporting
  • Experience engaging directly with users and stakeholders, demonstrating patience and professionalism
