This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a positive, team-oriented work environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide translation from Japanese to English and English to Japanese for emails, documents, business communications, meeting notes, and other needs.Assist with communication during meetings between Japanese and English speakers—including employees, executives, clients, vendors, suppliers, factory floor workers, etc.

—using technical terminology relevant to the manufacturing and automotive industries.Assist in executive meetings and cross-departmental communication and reporting.Respond to and address inquiries and questions in English and Japanese.Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for associates and managers, communicating across language barriers as required.Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and emails, directing them to appropriate parties, maintaining document filing systems, and other office duties.Perform other related tasks as assigned.QualificationsStrong language abilities in both English and Japanese (business-level to fluent, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking).

Ability to quickly learn technical terminology relevant to industrial manufacturing and the automotive industry.Prior experience with interpretation or translation between Japanese and English, preferably in a technical or manufacturing field.Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, including strong soft communication skills in a multicultural environment.Basic understanding of office clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
