We have an exciting opportunity available for a science with senior biology kaiako / teacher to join our Y9–13 team.The ideal candidate will be culturally aware and enjoy the challenge of working within a modern learning environment with a focus on akonga / student-centred learning.
This position is suitable for either PCT or experienced teachers who are currently registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.The successful candidate will have : Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamAbility and confidence teaching Y9–13Ability to teach senior science and biology and supporting subjectsExperience with planning and delivering integrated learning programmes for Y9–10A commitment to providing extracurricular opportunities for akongaSound organisational skills and details-oriented approachStrong pastoral skills to support in the role of Puna Ako kaiako / form teacherSound communication skills to support akonga, whanau and kaimahi.The successful applicant will exemplify the kura's values of Hanga Whare, Alofa, Manaakitanga, Service and Success.
