We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial construction projects across the Manawatū region. This is a pivotal role with end-to-end responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Reporting to the Directors, you’ll work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to :
Oversee project setup, planning, and team coordination
Implement and maintain project systems and documentation
Drive programme management to ensure project milestones are met
Monitor financial performance in conjunction with the Quantity Surveying team
Lead, support, and develop a high-performing site and project team
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
What we’re looking for :
You’re a confident and solutions-focused leader who brings structure, clarity, and momentum to complex projects. You’re equally comfortable on-site and in meetings, with a proactive approach and a clear eye for detail.
You will ideally have :
5+ years experience managing commercial construction projects in New Zealand from start to finish
Strong coordination and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Solid understanding of construction methodology, materials, regulations, and safety requirements
A hands‑on leadership style with a focus on quality, safety, and delivery
You must be located in New Zealand with New Zealand construction experience
