Permanent full-time role within the Fleet Operations team.

You'll maintain and update the Scenic Trains Safety Management System and ensure manuals, records, and risk registers are accurate and up to date.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, update and manage the Safety Management SystemsAct as the product owner for safety and service documentation, coordinating updatesAnalyze data and identify improvements to keep operations safe, compliant, and focused on continuous improvementEnsure manuals, records, and risk registers are accurate and up to dateSupport cross-functional teams to deliver great service every dayWhat you will bringExperience with Safety Management Systems, document control, and risk assessments (rail or transport experience is an advantage)Understanding of health, safety, and employment legislation in New ZealandAdvanced level proficiency with Microsoft tools, especially SharePoint and FS ProExperience in document creation, editing and document controlAbility to interpret data clearly and provide useful insightsStrong communication, relationship-building, and cross-team collaboration skillsInitiative and good judgementHolds a current NZ driver's license and can travel to Scenic Train sites as neededIt's Also Helpful If You HaveBusiness qualifications or relevant industry experienceKnowledge of travel or tourismLanguage skills in NZ tourism priority or emerging market languagesWhat's in it for youA competitive salary and benefits packageOngoing training and development opportunitiesThe chance to influence how safety and quality are managed across our iconic Scenic TrainsCareer pathways across KiwiRail's nationwide operationsBeing part of a workplace that values diversity, inclusion, and teamworkReady to Make a Difference?
