Court Registry Officer, Wellington
Te Haeata / The Opportunity
As a Court Registry Officer, you are an important cog in the justice machine.
You will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court and liaise with multiple stakeholders including members of the judiciary, lawyers, and the public.

This part of the role involves a large component of data entry and sound decision-making.
This includes opening court sessions (in English and Te Reo Maori), working closely with Judiciary in the courtroom and in chambers and general administration of the court.
Customer queries can come in via face to face, phone or email interactions.
There are two permanent positions available.
The successful candidates are likely to be appointed to the family / civil jurisdiction team.
There will be opportunity to work across teams at times.
There may be also opportunities to travel on occasion to support other courts in the Wellington Region, or wider.

To be successful, you will need to be :
You'll be an excellent communicator with good English and confident Te Reo Maori pronunciation.
Confidence using audio visual equipment is also desirable.
You enjoy helping others - you're flexible, calm, and in no way daunted by the busy courtroom environment.

Utu a-tau / Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $59,729 to $80,794 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
