We are on the lookout for a Business Development Executive to join the Mrs Mac’s New Zealand business. This is a full-time role, working from home with regular travel to customers, including some domestic travel. The successful incumbent must be based in Auckland, with flexibility for Hamilton candidates.

About the role

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Country Manager – New Zealand to drive profitable sales growth, achieve budget, and provide best-in-class customer service. You’ll be on the road meeting with distributors, petrol & convenience, retail partners, and key end users, focusing on growing existing customer relationships and winning new business.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering and achieving sales budgets and execution targets.
  • Managing and growing accounts across “On-the-Go” and independent grocery channels.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing tailored solutions.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities through networking, insights, and follow-up.
  • Using data and insights to support forecasting and deliver commercial outcomes.

About you

We’re looking for someone who’s motivated, commercially minded, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be just as comfortable building relationships with clients as you are negotiating and influencing to drive sales growth.

Qualifications

  • Previous FMCG experience in business development, account management, or sales – particularly in the convenience channel.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • A good grasp of sales planning, execution, and commercial acumen.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
  • A valid NZ driver’s licence.
  • NZ working rights and be Auckland-based (or Hamilton).
