Isolation Allowance

Nestled in the beautiful Hokianga, Horeke School is a small, whanau-based kura with a roll of 26 wonderful tamariki, growing steadily each year.

We are seeking an inspiring and committed teacher to join our team in

• – either in our Y4–8 class (14 students) or our Y0–3 class (12 students).

This Scale A fixed-term position may develop into a permanent role as our roll continues to grow.

The school is allocated an Isolation Allowance.

Builds positive, meaningful relationships with tamariki, whanau, and staff

Is adaptive, flexible, and embraces the advantages of small rural schooling

Uses effective, engaging teaching strategies (BSLA training an advantage)

Has a willingness to grow in te reo Maori me ona tikanga

Brings energy, humour, and heart to their teaching.

A school house may be available from March
