Health, Safety and Compliance Co-ordinator

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of individual health and safety obligations, including proactive hazard identification, following Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Task Operating Procedures (TOPs), and ensuring timely incident and hazard reporting.

Always use the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with relevant SOPs; promptly notify a manager if any PPE is lost, damaged, or defective.

Complete all required SOP and TOP training relevant to the role and environment within agreed timeframes.

Protect company property by using equipment and resources responsibly and reporting any misuse or damage immediately

Health and Safety

Implement and maintain workplace safety procedures across operational areas.

Monitor site safety and escalate risks or non-compliance to the HR and Compliance Manager.

Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.

Co‑ordinate induction and training for new and current employees and contractors.

Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.

Maintain the Health and Safety Management System and accurate H&S records.

Support emergency preparedness : equipment checks, training, and drills.

Promote employee engagement in H&S initiatives and toolbox talks.

Monitor contractor compliance with company H&S requirements.

Compliance and Documentation

Prepare, maintain, and file documentation for audits, certifications, and inspections (NZGAP, WorkSafe, etc.).

Maintain hazard registers, SDS, and compliance registers.

Ensure timely reporting of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.

Generate compliance reports for management review.

Track legislative and regulatory changes relevant to company operations.

HR Support

Maintain employee records : induction, training, competencies, certifications.

Assist recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes as directed by HR and Compliance Manager.

Support employee communications : policy updates, compliance reminders, notices.

Coordinate performance review documentation and compliance training records.

Project / General

To assist with any project work that may be applicable to the role.

Any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
